For more than 140 years, the Vipiteno Dairy Cooperative has shaped agriculture in South Tyrol and today, more than ever, sees itself as responsible for aligning environmental protection with regional value creation. As a cooperative with deep roots in an Alpine region, we focus on sustainable processes and innovative solutions.

Concrete steps toward a sustainable future
We continuously work on the following action areas:
Responsible treatment of animals
The members of the Vipiteno Dairy Cooperative rely on balanced and controlled feeding. A large share of farms work with hay, fresh grass and herbs from the region. This type of feeding stands for care, experience and an agriculture that focuses on quality rather than quantity.
CO₂ & energy
We invest in measures to reduce fossil fuels and use renewable energy. One example is the photovoltaic system on the roofs of our facilities. This enables the Dairy Cooperative to make a concrete contribution to on-site power generation and to reducing emissions.
Packaging & waste
When it comes to packaging, the Vipiteno Dairy Cooperative faces the same challenges as the dairy industry as a whole. However, we continuously work to make processes more efficient and to use resources responsibly along the value chain.
Social commitment & employee well-being
For us, sustainability also means responsibility for people. More than 190 employees benefit from fair working conditions, additional benefits and a secure job in the region. As a cooperative, we not only strengthen farming families, but also act as an important employer and a factor of economic stability.
