Did you know?
How long can yogurt be kept in the refrigerator after opening?

An opened yogurt cup, if properly resealed after use, can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. However, please always check the smell, taste, and appearance.

What happens to the live lactic acid bacteria in yogurt after the expiration date?

After the best-before date, a minimum amount of live lactic acid bacteria must still be present. The number of lactic acid bacteria is higher in fresh yogurt and decreases over time.

Is the milk used for yogurt production pasteurized?

Yes, our milk is always subjected to a legally required heat treatment before it is sold as fresh milk or as another product, or served at the breakfast table. The method depends on the intended use and the product being made.

Why is the yogurt so creamy?

The creaminess of our yogurt is the result of a specific processing method.

How does the fruit get into the yogurt?

The fruit is added to the yogurt in the form of ready-made fruit preparations, with the dosage being precisely defined.

How is yogurt made from milk?

First, the fat is removed from the raw milk and then added back again. This is the only way to ensure that whole milk has a fat content of 3.5% and skimmed milk 0.1%. The milk is then heated strongly and mixed with yogurt cultures. This mixture is then incubated at a moderate temperature for several hours, meaning it is kept warm in large tanks. After that, the yogurt is filled into cups or glass jars and cooled in the high-bay warehouse.
